Western Greater Yellowstone Area Housing Needs Assessment 2014
WSW Consulting was research manager on this study, in team with Rees Consulting, Inc., Frontier Forward, LLC, and RRC Associates, LLC. This study covered 4 counties – Teton County, WY, and Teton, Fremont and Madison Counties in Idaho – and their communities and included a 4-county regional household survey; extensive community, stakeholder and employer interviews; and data collection for a region crossing two states. WSW Consulting was also the project manager on an accompanying Regional Analysis of Impediments for the region. The Needs Assessment identified workforce housing needs and commute patterns within the region.
The study supported recent Housing Summit discussions and production planning in the Town of Jackson/Teton County, Wyoming, and is being used in Teton County, Idaho, to understand how more housing affordable to the workforce can be encouraged and constructed.
