As part of its $30 million commitment made in early December 2015 to fund new affordable workforce housing developments in Colorado, California and Utah, Vail Resorts, the continent’s largest resort developer, has agreed to work with a local developer to help build 200 rental units for Summit County seasonal workers earning $10 to $12 an hour and for families earning year-round salaries. Vail Resorts has applied to the county to also add add 102 beds at the Tenderfoot Lodge near Keystone.
In Eagle County, CO, Vail Resorts is also seeking to lease several units at the recently completed Lion’s Ridge rental project, the demand study for which was conducted by Rees Consulting and WSW Consulting.
